Nancy posted another challenge, and included a lovely image of a rose. It’s winter here so there isn’t a lot of pretty outside, even with the brief dusting of snow. I went back through my previous work and found something pretty old– this image!
This is a shot of Anderson Falls in Bartholomew County, Indiana, about 20 minutes from where I live. The past few years have been relatively dry so the water doesn’t flow like it did when I shot this image. I don’t recall how many ND filters I used to lengthen the shutter speed. It was taken with my Olympus E-500 set on a tripod. With the long exposure, the initial image had some hot pixels that needed to be removed.

We got a lot of rain this year, and the falls are running again. I might try to replicate this shot with my Nikon D5600 each season this year. I’ve actually never seen the falls with snow or ice, and could be really pretty.
As always, comments and suggestions are very welcome. Email or comment please.

Summer is my fun time. Not a lot of photos unless traveling.
