A Photo a Week Challenge: Open

Nancy Merrill has a photo challenge that she posts every Monday. This week, she posted a lovely image of a blooming tulip (link), thus the “open” challenge. I dug through my folders to find something open, and came up with a panoramic that I shot with my Sony HX-80. I think that the vastness of Crater Lake qualifies as being “open.”

Crater Lake National Park, Oregon

This was a fantastic park! I visited before COVID-19 so businesses and hotels were still open at the time, but places to eat were pretty sparse in the area. If you visit, please check in advance and avoid snow season- they measure snowfall in tens of feet there and the park shuts down for the season.
